In the Tax News section you will find an update from the UK: on 28 Nov 2013, regulations were issued which support the payment of gross interest to non-UK investors holding units in UK-authorized fund. On page 4, you will find an overview of the main amendments on the regulation on European Long-Term Investment Funds (ELTIF) proposed by the European Parliament. Furthermore, you will find details to two draft reports issued by the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON). The first is on the proposal for a regulation launched by the European Parliament and the Council on Money Markets Funds and the second proposes to regulate financial benchmarks. Please find latest publications from the Irish Central Bank on page 7, and on page 8 important key dates for Ireland - as a reminder. At the end of November 2013, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority issued a consultation paper (CP 13/17) on the use of dealing commissions; please find a link to this CP where you can read up on this latest development. Finally, Switzerland reports that the FINMA confirms its cooperation with foreign authorities to supervise the distribution of funds to non-qualified investors.
