Philipp Hallauer has worked for KPMG since 1990. He spent 1.5 years on a secondment to KPMG in San Francisco from 1991 to 1993. Between 1999 and 2009 he was a member of the IFRS Panel of KPMG International. He was Chairman of the Board of KPMG in Switzerland from 2005 until 2008 when the firm merged with KPMG Europe LLP, and he continued as Chairman of the Partners’ Committee thereafter until 2010. Since 2009 he has been the Head of National Quality & Risk Management and Ethics & Independence Partner of KPMG Switzerland. Since 2010 he has also been hosting KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute in Switzerland.
- Member of the Auditing and Accounting Practices Commission of the Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Tax Consultants, and of the Accounting Working Party of the Fédération Européenne des Experts Comptables (FEE).
- Member of the Expert Group of the Swiss Exchange Regulation
- Chairman of the Swiss GAAP FER Steering Committee responsible for the development of FER 24 “Equity and transactions with shareholders”
- Technical adviser to the Swiss delegation on the Board of the International Accounting Standards Committee (1995 – 2000)
