To put this strategy into practice, mobility programs are promoted, such as Global Opportunities (GO), which in 2009 benefited 22 professionals. Trainees receive a similar opportunity with the Global Internship Program (GIP).
Tax professionals participate in a specific program, the Tax Trek, whereby they spend a three month exchange at another member firm, with the opportunity to acquire expertise in the area of taxes. During this period, they receive on-the-job training, which helps them to think and act globally and build a network of relationships.
In 2009, KPMG in Brazil received three professionals (United States, Spain and England) and sent three others abroad (Canada, Netherlands and Portugal).
Internal Opportunities
Career mobility at KPMG does not only mean working in other countries. We believe that acquiring knowledge in various areas within the Organization can be of great value both for professional and for the business.
