The Audit Committee Institute (ACI) is an initiative sponsored exclusively by KPMG. Launched in 1999 in the United States, ACI promotes the exchange of information and development of best practices, having been recognized as a promoter of benefits for members of audit committees and senior management of organizations.
In Brazil, the ACI was launched in February 2004 with the mission to establish a channel of communication and interaction with members of the Boards of Directors, Audit Boards, and Audit Committees, aiming at three main issues: knowledge, commitment and capacity.
