Jozelle participated in the 2010 KPMG Summer Internship program. She attends St. Lawrence College in Ontario and is completing a Bachelor of Business Administration through Laurentian University. Jozelle is a graduate of Mount St. Agnes Academy.
I selected KPMG because of their workplace environment and their reputation. I emailed my resume and transcripts and I was fortunate enough to receive a summer placement.
During my summer with KPMG, I enjoyed being able to work on projects that relate to my university studies. It’s a great work environment and you really gain a lot of useful experience. I received an in-depth look at what the accounting profession entails. I also learned what it takes to become a Chartered Accountant.
Working at KPMG gave me the opportunity to assist on a large audit project where I was responsible for gathering information from the client. I had to ask lots of questions and get an understanding of their business processes. I was even able to meet the company’s CEO, CFO and many other esteemed employees. I learned what an audit really entails and how important it is to a company.
In the future, I can definitely see myself as a Chartered Accountant.
