Locals Ali AlMaqabi and Hisham Jamsheer, from KPMG Fakhro, spent 18 months in Dallas and New York as part of the firm’s global mobility program. KPMG’s managing partner, Jamal Fakhro, said the program provides young KPMG professionals the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in an international environment.
"KPMG places considerable importance on developing our local people and helping them reach their full potential – it is one of the measures that we take as part of our employer of choice agenda,” said Mr. Fakhro.
KPMG audit professional Mr. Jamsheer said working and living in New York City was an invaluable experience.
“The exposure to some of the largest financial institutions operating in New York and working firsthand with the best in the business has been one the most rewarding experiences of my career,” said Mr. Jamsheer.
Mr. AlMaqabi said he has already taken the opportunity to share his knowledge and experience.
“From day one I started the process of sharing my experience with colleagues through formal and informal meetings and gatherings.”
