Six Bahraini professionals recently completed their accounting qualifications thanks to a development fund created by KPMG Fakhro.

The firm’s managing partner, Jamal Fakhro, said KPMG’s Jassim Fakhro People Development Fund is part of KPMG’s ongoing commitment to develop local accounting professionals who can best support the Bahrain business community.
"KPMG places considerable importance on training and development so that our local people can reach their full potential and be up-to-date on the latest developments in the workplace – it is one of the measures that we take as part of our employer of choice agenda,” said Mr. Fakhro.
The Jassim Fakhro People Development Fund, which is named after the founder of KPMG’s Bahrain office, Jassim Fakhro, has invested significant resources in the professional education and development of young Bahrainis since its launch in 2001.  To date, the fund has sponsored 65 Bahraini students.
