A stock-listed global science-based company asked the KPMG Asset Management Competence Center for help in improving their Equipment Reliability processes. The goal of the project is to minimize the total operating cost of assets based on the manufacturing strategy (Business Operations Strategy, BOS) and to minimize the maintenance related production losses (reliability) while maintaining asset integrity.

- KPMG supported as optimal as possible operations and steering in the client’s businesses by helping defining and managing asset management project efforts for the implementation of standard business processes on reliability centered maintenance and leading practices in businesses and organizations, for the development of new processes or enhanced processes and for improvement of their use in business.
The project allowed the client to have an increase in process efficiency and effectiveness of equipment reliability processes. Additionally, the client substantially reduced overall maintenance-related costs (Opex) and investments (Capex).
