KPMG Tax Advisers seminar: ‘How to handle transfer pricing as an SME’

Transfer pricing is not just a hot topic for multinationals. Internationally active SMEs are also increasingly being confronted with this complex issue. Moreover, SMEs are also attracting the tax administration’s attention in transfer pricing audits.

Yet SMEs do not always have the knowledge, resources or experience to submit detailed transfer pricing documentation.

Legislators in various countries have therefore introduced simplified transfer pricing rules for SMEs. At European level too, steps have been taken in recent years to limit the burden for SMEs with regard to transfer pricing. On 19 September 2012, the report of the EU Joint Transfer Pricing Forum was published, containing the main conclusions on this subject.

During the seminar, the following questions will be considered: How can SMEs manage transfer pricing risks efficiently? What documentation can they present without incurring too great an administrative and financial burden? How do you cope with transfer pricing audits as an SME? What specific transfer pricing rules apply to SMEs in Belgium and Europe? What opportunities does a sound transfer pricing policy offer for SMEs?

The seminar’s dates and locations are as follows:

  • Wednesday 20 February 2013 in Antwerp (ALM)
  • Monday 25 February 2013 in Ghent (Holiday Inn)

The programme starts at 9.30 with a welcome coffee and closes with a buffet lunch at around midday.
