My three words to describe Private Enterprise would be challenging, rewarding and fun.
I started with KPMG through the Graduate Recruitment Program. After having worked for 4 years in sports management I decided that accounting was for me so I applied for the Graduate Recruitment Program, and was successful and started in 2008.
I chose to work in Private Enterprise as I have exposure to some of Australia’s largest and exciting family and private businesses — and also the range of work that we do for them, from tax and accounting, audit and business advisory services.
Working in Private Enterprise we actually get exposure to working directly with the clients, with their CEOs and their CFOs — speaking to them on a one-on-one basis in their work place.
Working in Private Enterprise, I am exposed to some Australia’s largest family and private businesses. One of my favourites being one of Australia’s largest winery companies and also one of Australian’s largest fashion festival events.
I really enjoy working for these clients as it is always a great personal challenge and I am always faced with a large diversity of work.
My future career pathway at KPMG I see myself staying in Private Enterprise, continuing to build strong relationships with my fellow employees and my clients and hopefully one day building a client base of my own, which I am very excited about.
