In 2009, KPMG became the first major accounting firm to have a RAP endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. Since then we have launched 3 new RAP documents: our Report and Refresh 2011; Our Reconciliation Journey and Recognition, prosperity and empowerment: Our 2013-2015 Elevate RAP.
Our RAP is an important part of our business, underpinned by our commitment to the wellbeing of our communities. It is an intrinsic part of the way we operate and a reflection of our values. Just as the KPMG global network pledged to meet the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, KPMG in Australia wanted to act to help reconcile disparities between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and non-Indigenous Australians.
Our commitment to reconciliation contributes towards our goal of being the best firm to work with, for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. It enriches our experiences and helps promote healthier and more sustainable communities.
Our RAP reports are a part of us sharing our story of reconciliation with you.
