Release of consultative documents by the Bank for International Settlements 

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) through its Basel Committee on Banking has released a number of consultative documents.

KPMG has prepared a consultative document summary highlighting the background, significant principles and expectations set out in the documents as well as the impacts for Australian banks.

The consultative documents include:

  • A Framework for Dealing with Domestic Systemically Important Banks (comment by 1 August 2012)
  • Principles for Effective Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (comment by 28 September 2012)
  • Monitoring Indicators for Intraday Liquidity Management (comment by 14 September 2012).
