The opportunities provided through advances in technology and emerging innovative information technology (IT) service delivery models and in the longer term, the National Broadband Network, are enormous. These elements combined create a catalyst for transformation of the aged care sector, beginning with residential care facilities.
There’s no doubt that the challenges in achieving fully integrated solutions, significant participation and successful IT implementation are real.

By promoting discussion, encouraging innovation and participation, sharing learnings and importantly, supporting facilities to adopt and showcase broadband and IT solutions, we can collectively improve the quality of life of older Australians.
