Migration Newsflash: Credit card surcharge fees – commencement delayed

Further to our 19 March 2014 Newsflash, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has delayed the introduction of credit card surcharge fees, which was due to commence on 22 March 2014. The DIBP has flagged that this is likely to occur on 19 April 2014, however no formal confirmation has been provided.

Additionally, further expansion of the Public Interest Criteria (PIC) 4020, otherwise known as the Integrity PIC, has taken effect on 22 March 2014. This was originally introduced in April 2011 as criteria for certain visas that created a 3 year exclusion period for providing bogus documents or false or misleading information.

For further details on what this means for your business, refer to this edition of Migration Newsflash.
