(1) OECD to host International Tax Dialogue Conference

OECD will host the 6th ITD Global Conference, which will focus on environmental policy objectives, including reduction of expected costs of climate change, curbing damage from pollution, and utilising taxes.


(2) Ethanol and Biodiesel Bills receive Royal Assent


The Excise Tariff Amendment (Ethanol and Biodiesel) Bill 2015 and theEnergy Grants and Other Legislation Amendment (Ethanol and Biodiesel) Bill 2015 received royal assent.

(3) Bills receive Royal Assent


On 29 June 2015, few Bills received Royal Assent.


(4) Disclosure of Information Regulation 2015


The Taxation Administration Amendment (Disclosure of Information) Regulation 2015 was registered on 30 June 2015. It allows the release of protected information to combat serious financial crime.

(5) ATO website update

(6) Government strengthens rules on foreign investment in agriculture


The Treasurer, Joe Hockey, announced that from 1 July 2015, all foreign investors who hold interests in agricultural land must register those interests with the ATO regardless of the value of that land.
