Corporate citizenship

Commitment to our communities is at the heart of KPMG’s values. Around the world, KPMG member firms work with other companies, governments and non-government organizations to address poverty and make a positive difference in the environment.

At KPMG in Albania we address issues associated with:

  • Education
  • Environment

Education

As one of the largest employer of graduates, KPMG in Albania recognizes the importance of education. To this end, KPMG participates in educational community initiatives where our people have the opportunity to share know-how and professional experience. Partnering institutions include top colleges and universities such as the University of Tirana, Faculty of Economy, New York University, European University of Tirana, Prishtina University, Faculty of Economy and American University in Kosovo, etc.

KPMG in Albania is also recognized for its continuous and focused efforts towards the provision of new opportunities for professional realization of students and young specialists. Internship programmes as an educational form and preparation for their future professional duties, allow students to apply the knowledge gained in a real business environment.

Our professionals acquaint students with KPMG and the career paths we offer at leading career forums and exhibitions, e.g. AmCham Job Fair, UNYT Career Days, etc.

Environment

Climate change is widely regarded as one of the most serious challenges that the world is facing. Droughts, cyclones, flooding, heat waves, rises in fuel and food prices, and a host of other issues are all exacerbated by climate change. We are beyond the point of debating whether to respond. The focus now is on action.

KPMG in Albania is integrating environmental best practice into all of our business activities and is committed to contributing for a wider positive impact on the environment and addressing local environmental challenges.
