UoWD team wins ACE the case competition

Bringing real-life scenarios to students, the first regional KPMG business case competition proved to be a hub for students to learn and practice their business skills. Students from six universities were invited for an exclusive training work-shop on solving business cases and making decisions in crunch situations.

The first day of the session covered case-writing skills including approach, outlining, ranking of is-sues and quantitative analysis. On the second day of the workshop, student teams from each of the universities took their chance to solve business cases in a three-hour challenge. The legacy team from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UoWD) took the and will fly to Hong Kong for a grand finale where they will face other teams from across the globe.

KPMG reports FY11 revenues of US$22.7 Billion

KPMG announced member firm combined revenues totaling $22.7 billion for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2011, a 10.1 percent increase in U.S. dollars, or 6.2 percent in local currency terms.
